General Information

Seniors – if you want a panoramic picture your order must be placed by Friday, May 24th with Mrs. Hodge in the guidance office. There need to be 25 orders for this picture to be taken.

Also, If you are a senior and need more than 7 tickets for graduation see Mrs. Hodge. 

Seniors who plan to participate in graduation that do not have a cap and gown yet must see Mrs. Hodges in the guidance office. 

Attention students taking the SAT June 7:  The June 7 SAT will be at Tecumseh instead of at Jefferson High School.

ALL STUDENTS WITH OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS (SUCH AS TYLENOL, IBUPROPHEN) NEED TO PICK IT UP FROM THE HEALTH CENTER BEFORE THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.  ANY MEDICINES NOT PICKED UP BY 5/23 WILL BE DISPOSED.

Presidential Inauguration: Sign up this week to join us next January when we go to Washington D.C. for the Presidential Inauguration!  Be there for this historic event!!!

All students interested in going to Spain on Spring Break 2009 and their parents should come to the Parent Meeting tonight at 7 oclock in room GA3E.  You will receive all the information you need about the trip to Spain.  Hope to see you there.  If you have any questions see Mrs. DiFabio in room GA3E

Attention Juniors!  If you are interested in running for Senior Class Officer positions, you need to pick up an election packet from Mr. Fitzgerald in room 1a3j and have it completed and returned by this Friday, May 16th.  The election will be held during all four lunch periods on Tuesday, May 20th. 

Join us this Thursday afternoon for the final Jazz Café @ Jeff for this year, from 3:30-5:00 PM in the main lobby, where Jeff faculty and student musicians will meet for a jam session. The event is free and open to the LSC community, and Ms. Peffers’s Culinary Arts Class will be selling drinks and snacks.

At the after school Fiber class workday, next Tuesday, May 20 we will provide a photo shoot for your garments.

Girls who would like to be a Colt World Series Teammate who are 15 or 16 years of age and available August 6-13 should come to a callout meeting on Tuesday, May 27 at 7pm at the Tippecanoe County Library.  Please pick up a flyer in the Athletic Office if you are interested.

Club Information 

There will be a Best Buddies’ meeting today, Thursday, May 15th at 3:30 in room GA6A.  We’ll be talking about end of the year activities.

Student Council:  there is a May 16th meeting  tomorrow in 1A3G.

Do you like to fish?  There will be a call-out today, Thursday, in room 1a3j for Jeff students interested in being a part of the current state champion bass fishing team.  The club is open to everyone and we do catch fish other than bass as well.  If you are interested in ordering a limited edition state champion fishing shirt, please see Mr. Fitz in room 1a3j.  All T-shirts must be ordered by the end of this week.

The PEER mentors can pick up summer conference applications in the nurse’s office.

Sports Information

Attention all 2008-2009 Jefferson Cheerleaders:  We will have a very important meeting on May 20, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. in the Jeff cafeteria.  Much important information will be covered.  Parents must come!

 

ATTENTION ALL SENIOR ATHLETES.
Please stop by the Athletic Office to complete a brief survey on your future plans.  The survey must be completed and turned in to the Athletic Office by May 20th.

The Athletic Department is offering physicals to student-athletes and marching band members for $25.  Spaces are limited . . . See Mrs. Meacham in the Athletic Office to sign-up.

Scholarship Information

 (MONDAY, THURSDAY)Attention: All high school students interested in architecture and planning. A summer workshop is available through Ball State University.  Applications can be picked up from the CCRC. The deadline is May 23rd.
(MONDAY, THURSDAY)Are you a student that likes NCIS, and CSI? Then you don’t want to miss the opportunity to learn more about the forensic science profession.  Central Michigan University is offering a summer camp for interested participants. See the college board outside of guidance for more information or stop by the CCRC.
(MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY) Attention all current ninth grade girls. Expand your mind and attend Purdue’s College of Technology TEAM camp. Informational material is located on the bulleting boards located outside of guidance. More information can be obtained from the CCRC.
(MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY) Attention all freshmen, sophomore and junior girls.  Saint Mary’s College, located in Notre Dame, Indiana has a week long summer camp for young ladies interested in post-secondary education and who are the first from their family to attend college.  If you are interested pick up an application in the CCRC today. The cost for the camp is $25.
(Monday, Thursday, Friday)Attention All Seniors: If you have not applied to a college, but are interested in attending a two year college, then stop by the CCRC today.  Ivy Tech Community College-Lafayette will be here Monday, May 19th for “On the Spot Admissions”.  Students will be able to complete an electronic application for admissions and get accepted the same day.  This is a one time event, but you must register ahead.  Stop by the CCRC to sign up today.
